It's been a few days since I've settled in.  The Far North isn't far from the Crystal Empire, so I'm currently in the empire for a few more hours.  After I got off the train, it happened that Shining Armor, Princess Twilight Sparkle's brother, was making rounds and he recognized me from an earlier conversation awhile back.  When I told him I really didn't buy a hotel room yet, he took me to the palace!  I got to meet Princess Cadence finally, and she was quite surprised to see a male alicorn.  They're such a nice couple, too.  I will definitely have to find a way to repay them later on.

I'm still pretty nervous about my plans...  Something could go wrong and I may not come home.... either myself or alive.  Dear Celestia, I need to keep positive.  Drake was already a nervous wreck when I left, so...  

But, I'm doing this for Mom!  Dad will be so happy to see her again!

Well, time to get a saddlebag together before heading off much farther north... 

I just hope for the best.
